Blessing Dress - Part 2
The blessing dress is done! What a relief! I went for a McCall's pattern this time and I'm glad I did. It was soo much easier. If there's anyone out there considering making a blessing dress here is a helpful hint: sew snaps in the back instead of buttons and buttonholes. Have you ever tried to button up the back of a little baby? It's not easy. I did sew really cute buttons on the top layer over the snaps so it looks like the buttons are done up. I tried to get a picture of them but the darn camera wouldn't focus on the buttons. They're super cute though. They have a little eyelet flower print on them. So that's another project down, a whole lot more to go!

ReplyDeleteTHis looks so great...I love eyelet, especially in such a sweet little dress. Great job! I was glad you noticed my white trash binding on that purple quilt. I am kind of slobbish in my crafts!
